A lot of people are not aware a majority of the laundry detergents in the grocery store are loaded with tons of harsh chemicals. Being that skin is your largest organ, when your pores open, these toxic chemicals are seeping into your bloodstream. This can cause rashes, break outs and other uncomfortable things to your skin.

Below is an easy to make laundry soap to make in your very own home. Makes about 3 cups. Happy making!

Ingredients:

  • 10 to 15 drops essential oils of your choice
  • 2 & 1/4 cups liquid castile soap (such as Dr. Bronner's)
  • 1/4 cup white distilled vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon glycerin
  • 3/4 cup water

Instructions:

Ideas In choosing your essential oils: 1. Chamomile or lavender for their soothing properties 2. Lemon or sweet orange to help whiten laundry  3. Eucalyptus or peppermint during cold season or when experiencing sinus trouble 4. Or simply choose a scent you enjoy, such as the clean, woodsy scent of cedar or the uplifting and feel good smell ofliqui bergamot.

Combine all ingredients in a glass container with a sealed lid or a squirt bottle. Shake a few times before adding to the wash. Use 1/4 cup per average load or 1/2 cup for extra-large or heavily soiled loads.
