What are the Best Essential Oils for Better Sleep?

If you're dealing with insomnia or other sleep difficulties, essential oils have helped many people to relax and get a good nights sleep. Therefore, we can go out and make the next day great while feeling rested.

Scientists have yet to to determine how aromatherapy helps with sleep issues but it's believed that inhaling essential oil molecules may activate brain chemicals involved in controlling sleep.

There are an array of essential oils that can help make it easier for you to relax and sleep more soundly. Below are just a few that may help. Out of all the various type of scents, floral seems to be the way to go.

LAVENDER - Floral scent

VANILLA - Sweet, floral scent

GERANIUM - Floral scent

ROSE - Floral scent

JASMINE - Sweet, floral scent

BERGAMOT - Sweet, citrus scent

Ways to Use Essential Oils for Sleep & Relaxation

1. Add a few drops to your bath water with some epsom salts

2. Use in a diffuser

3. Make a spray mist with water and spray pillow and sleep area

4. Apply a few drops to body with a carrier oil such as sweet almond or jojoba oil

It amazes me how when I get a good nights rest, how much more productive and happy I feel the next day.
